Who to Invite to Your Kids Birthday Party
1, Start with their friends, think about who they will have a great time with.
It can be a healthy mix of both current classroom friends and family friends.. If you invite your child's classroom friends, some say courtesy is to invite the entire class, while others just invite a certain amount that are truly close to the child.
First, it depends on the age; in preschool, it's much easier to invite the whole class with envelopes placed in their cubbies. However, as they get older, they start having a different set of friends, and through this, you may already have the names and phone numbers of their families.
For your younger kids, ask the teacher for a class list of names, and you can send a stack of invitations with their first names to the teacher.
Older elementary kids through middle and high school often have a select group of friends they spend time with. Begin by asking your child whom they would like to celebrate with.
Go with your gut and, of course, talk to your child about who they want at their birthday celebration. As a parent, you know who they are, and you can always reach out to their teachers if they are in school to find out who they play with more than others.
Hope this helps!
